Elcome @ the IAAF Golf Challenge 2022

Elcome was proud to sponsor the 9th hole, plus the balls and tees at this year's IAAF Golf Challenge at the Forest of Arden.

Following a two year hiatus, as a result of the pandemic, it was wonderful to finally return to the Forest of Arden Golf Centre on Friday 12th August, for this year's IAAF Golf Challenge.

Once again, Elcome sponsored the balls and tees for the 14 teams that assembled from across the Automotive Aftermarket and, for the first time, we were delighted to also sponsor the 9th hole of this championship course.

Another thrill was having the chance to meet three footballing legends, Steve Staunton, Dean Saunders and Ron Atkinson, who had all joined Graham Masarik to make up the Eurocams team. Our own Ollie Haywood, as a boy, attended a football academy that had been hosted by 'Big Ron' himself, so it was with much pleasure they reminisced over old times!

As the temperature soared, everyone was thankful to BM Catalysts for keeping the teams hydrated with a constant supply of refreshing cold drinks and cool towels. We all had our eye on the SMPE sponsored 18th hole, where a 'hole-in-one' would result in winning a BMW Z4. Sadly, in wasn't meant to be, but with the IAAF's Chief Executive Mark Field waiting at the 19th hole with cold beers, everyone left in good spirits.
